About ST. Hildegard

Saint Hildegard, who lived in the 12th century, left behind significant written works exploring nature. She described plants, trees, metals, and various animals, highlighting their benefits for human well-being. Her writings focus on how these elements contribute positively to health and daily life. She also emphasized the healing properties of plants and animals, offering insights into how people can use them to support their well-being if they choose to.

Conversely, she also writes about plants and animals that should be avoided if man wants to maintain full health and vitality in his life, as they do not bring the positive benefits that man needs.  In her work Causae and Curae, she describes healing methods for various health ailments.  Her works, however, are much larger in scope and include spirituality, music, human action and the impact of one’s actions on one’s life.  It is a fascinating work full of wisdom in navigating a fulfilling life.

For the purposes of this page, I will write about medical plants, remedies and healing foods as the first step for a person to maintain health, vitality and a positive approach to life. I will be writing and educating you about plants and remedies for specific health disharmonies, sharing inspirations of Hildegard’s food and lifestyles
